Shelly Gherke

Controller, Vice-President of Finance

 

After getting her accounting degree from UW Madison, Shelly began her career in hotel accounting in 1988, joining Cornerstone Hotel Management in 1997. To date, she has over 30 years of hotel accounting experience. She has kept up with the industry by attending numerous franchise and WH&LA conferences over the years. Shelly’s years of experience in the industry allows her to provide support to our properties in areas other than just accounting. Shelly strives for accuracy and consistency in all aspects of reporting. This allows for more meaningful budgets and financial comparisons.

 

Shelly and her husband Kevin reside in Sun Prairie and are the proud parents of sons Kyle and Kollin.

Jenny Olesen

Director of Sales

 

As the Director of Sales for Cornerstone Hotel Management Jenny oversees our portfolio of hotels and acts as a resource for the Director of Sales, Sales Managers, and General Managers. She assists in setting sales goals, establishing and maintaining social media sites, organizing tradeshow appearances/booths, training new sales staff, and creating a yearly marketing plan.

 

Jenny started as the Director of Sales for the Comfort Inn & Suites in DeForest when it opened in 2004. Prior to joining Cornerstone Hotels, her experience consists of being Assistant General Manager of the Hampton Inn Madison East, Rooms Manager of Courtyard Marriott Madison East, and Rooms Division Manager for the Best Western Midway Hotel in Brookfield. In September 2010 she earned her accounting degree from Upper Iowa University. In June 2012, she moved into the Cornerstone office.

 

She served as President of the DeForest Area Rotary Club in 2011 and DeForest Area Chamber of Commerce in 2012.

 

She is a DeForest graduate and resides in DeForest with her daughter, Molly.

MaryJo Eggers

Vice President of Operations

 

MaryJo serves as the Vice President of Operations for Cornerstone Hotel Management. She works on analyzing financials to drive revenues and future profitability. She also works on developing programs that help drive improvements in team member engagement.

 

She started with Cornerstone Hotel Management as the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express in Fort Atkinson upon its opening in 2000. Before joining Cornerstone, she was the Front Office Manager at The Madison Concourse Hotel, Assistant General Manager for the Comfort Inn Madison, and Director of Sales for the Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn of Madison.

 

MaryJo is a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and holds a minor in Business Administration. She has served on the Board of Directors for Rotary Club and Fort Atkinson Chamber. She currently serves on the Tourism Committee for Fort Atkinson.

 

She has been married to her husband, Kim for over 20 years and has four children, Justin, Bailee, Nicole, and Joshua.

Jeff Jeatran

Facilities Manager

 

As the Facilities Manager, Jeff serves to assist all our hotels in maintenance.  He aids in training, inspects the hotels, responds to emergency requests, oversees the completion of projects, and leads the teams to accomplish goals with a plan.

 

Jeff started with Cornerstone Hotel Management as a Maintenance Engineer in Stevens Point in 2018.  His vast knowledge, organization, professionalism, and technical skills moved him to Cornerstone to assist all our hotels.

 

Jeff has a degree in HVAC, he is CPO certified and has Universal 608 certification.
